Laranjinha

What a fantastic place! Given its high ratings, I had considered tempering my expectations but instead, it surpassed them. The service was incredibly friendly and informative, with excellent wine selections. The food was divine, featuring some truly magnificent dishes. An absolute must-visit!

It was our second time at Laranjinha and we have the same amazing experience. The service is excellent, the staff is smiling and taking a lot of care about the client but always with respect of intimacy. The restaurant does not have too much tables so it’s not too noisy. The meat has lot of quality, melt in the mouth and needing only salt on it. The desert are creative, not too sweet and with lot of flavours. UPDATE 2025: following our 2 last delightful experience, we decided to come back for my partner’s birthday. The welcoming from the full team was amazing, we had a really great service from A to Z. As always, the food was incredibly good. Thank you for your perfect service, we can’t wait to come back!

Excellent restaurant, tried it for dinner and everything was excellent, well-kept and elegant venue, excellent food, well cooked and presented, very good desserts too, excellent wine recommended by the waiter. Price perhaps a little high but experience definitely to be recommended.

We had a perfect lunch here last Sunday. We choose a few starters and some extra side dishes today. This place is clean and has a good vibe. Our waitress called Aries made sure all went very well and created a very pleasant and professional ambiance. This is not our first time here, but we're very happy that after so many years this restaurant is so consistent in its operation. And when it has changes in the regular dishes, it's to make them better. It's worth the drive from Calheta and we look forward to our next visit. All the best for Aries and her team at Laranjinha.

I’ve never experienced service like this anywhere else – the waitstaff were exceptionally attentive, genuinely friendly, and always one step ahead. The food was incredibly delicious, perfectly prepared, and full of flavor. The prices are very reasonable for the quality you receive. All in all, a fantastic restaurant that I can wholeheartedly recommend!

Me and my partner are over from England on holiday staying at the Views Oásis hotel, we found this restaurant right by the hotel and it is an I incredible place, the service was outstanding ! Staff were amazing, polite and helpful. Food was amazing bread for starters was More than enough at €5 you pay for quality not quantity! I had the pork belly, my partner had the duck leg and for desert we shared the chocolate orange fondant which was Michelin star quality ! we also shared the sangria 10/10 The price overall was extremely reasonable and I have not a bad word to say about the place

Not a traditional restaurant, The dishes are prepared with the same fresh ingredients but with a modern touch, nice selection of meat and sea food dishes. The service was impeccable and very attentive .

Altogether a pleasant enough experience. First off, the quality of the food was great (sourdough bread, fresh veggies, quality of meat) and the service was well organized. However, while my picanha came rare as ordered - assuming it was prepared sous-vide - it didn't have a crust - no maillard reaction whatsoever. That was a real shame and should not happen. It could probably easily be fixed by a way hotter flame to grill the steaks on. Also, none of the waiters or the waitress came to ask how it was, neither did someone ask for feedback when taking our plates. If the things above are improved, this place will be worth an easy five stars. Keep it up!
